Hi, I'm Vivek
An AI Engineering Manager, passionate about shaping the future of AI and exploring human-AI symbiosis.
I build AI systems for a living and chase mountains on the side.
For the last 12 years, I've worked across Accenture, Deloitte, and now Thomson Reuters — mostly on the hard, unglamorous part of AI: getting it to actually work in production, for real users, at scale. I'm currently an AI Engineering Manager at Thomson Reuters, where I lead a team of 8 engineers shipping agentic AI platforms used by thousands of people every day.
The work
A few things I'm proud of:
- ACES — an agentic platform with 100+ agents serving 3,000+ users across Thomson Reuters globally
- SolutionIQ — cut quoting effort by 75% and surfaced $46M in contract opportunities
- Walmart demand forecasting (at Deloitte) — 10,000+ SKUs, $10M in logistics savings
- Novartis RL system — reinforcement learning across 100,000+ marketing touchpoints
Across the last few years, the work I've led has driven roughly $91M in value and influenced $30M+ in revenue. But the numbers matter less to me than the question underneath them: how do humans and AI systems actually work well together? That's what I keep coming back to.
Beyond the screen
When I'm not in a notebook or a code review, I'm usually outside.
I've trekked to Everest Base Camp and walked the Chadar — the frozen river in Ladakh, which is exactly as cold and surreal as it sounds. This year I finished my first half-marathon, and I'm training for the TCS World 10K in Bengaluru. Mountains keep me honest; running keeps me patient; building AI keeps me curious. The three balance each other out.
